Sleepless night = Sleepful flights

We have arrived...partially.

Six of our thirteen are in San Salvador! ...Waiting for the others to arrive. Never to have a completely uneventful trip, the Baltimore 8 received a phone call at 11pm last night to say that our morning flight was canceled. With video chatting, conference calling, texting, much patience and determination, we thought we had it all reset. Almost. It was a sleepless night (though not new for me, as I am never packed early and rarely get to bed before 1am on a pre-El Salvador night...) for all of us, with airport pickups starting in the early 3 o'clock hour. It's been a long day of travel thus far, but so far so good. All safe travels so far, just adjusting ourselves to have great patience with the airline industry. I'm pretty sure I was the one who used the word "Flexibility" in regards to the upcoming week. We're all trying to feel a little bendy right now. Nothing a few cervezas can't fix.

We met up with our old amigo, Luis Fernando, for lunch. We met him on our first journey here in 2009. Wonderfully upbeat always, the great logistician, he was a welcomed face to see.

Off to dinner momentarily. The week of full bellies has officially begun. Also, I hear the sound of raindrops outside...Time to get the poncho out!

Adios for now.
